Keeping Your Makeup Fresh All Day Long

Whenever you are trying to look great no matter what it is that you’re doing, you will find that there are a lot of different factors that are involved in making that happen. Your makeup can be a huge part of looking great, but how are you supposed to keep up with everything? Are you going to be able to keep that makeup fresh?

Thankfully, there are a lot of makeup professionals and companies that have worked hard to help people keep their makeup as fresh as possible throughout the day. Let’s take a look at some of the tips that are suggested – some of which I’ve tried myself – to keep that makeup looking fresh throughout your entire day.

Exfoliate and Moisturize

No matter what type of makeup you’re looking at, exfoliating and moisturizing your skin and lips can go a long way toward helping you to keep your makeup fresh for the rest of the day. Skin that is healthy (and not dead) is going to hold makeup much better.  This is especially true for lipstick – even if you’re using a vaporizer for concentrates that is constantly going to your lips throughout the day, a good moisturizer in the morning is going to help prevent smears and keep your colors bright!

Know What Looks Good On Your Skin Type

If you match your makeup to your skin type, you’ll find that you have an easier time keeping it on. Not only are you going to be able to touch it up without anyone noticing, but if you blend it in correctly, people may not even notice if it starts to fade a little throughout the day. Matching and blending can go a long way toward giving you that fresh face that you deserve to have.

Reapply When Necessary

Sometimes, your makeup just needs a little bit of a touch up throughout the day – and that’s perfectly fine. Go off to the restroom or wherever you go to reapply, and take care of it. You shouldn’t have to start from scratch if you do it correctly though – usually, a couple of swipes and you’ll look just as good as you did when you left your home this morning.

Use Sunscreen

It may seem like a strange suggestion, but if you use sunscreen, you’ll find that your makeup stays on a lot better if you use a lightweight sunscreen. There are actually some types of sunscreen that are specially made for people who are wearing makeup on a regular basis. Take a look to see what’s out there and pick a sunscreen that helps to keep that makeup on and fresh looking.

What do you do in order to keep your makeup looking as fresh as possible all day long? What tips do you use and how do you ensure that you’re doing what you can to help your makeup to stay awesome? We’d love to hear them in the comments – let us know what you do!
